Barbara B. Nov 21, 2010 2:56 PM (in response to EarthMoonStars)In PSE, you need to go to the On First Save preferences and set PSE to save over the existing file without giving you the save as dialog box. If you use Save As, you will have to import the edited photo as a new file. If you just save over your original and you've set up PSE as your external editor, iPhoto will remember your last edited version + the original.

EarthMoonStars Nov 21, 2010 3:28 PM (in response to Barbara B.)Hi Barbara,
I went to PSE Preferences and changed the Saving Option to Save Over Current File. The photo did go into iPhoto in the edited version. I checked the library and the original is gone, just like I specified. This is all well and good IF I don't ever want the original version. Can it be saved without Deep Sixing the original forever (and still have it go to iPhoto upon saving it)? (Can I have my cake and eat it, too???)

Barbara B. Nov 21, 2010 4:14 PM (in response to EarthMoonStars)The original shouldn't be gone. It's just not visible. If you right click the modified photo, you should see Revert to Original as one of your choices in the contextual menu.
