I am using the trial version of Premiere. AVCHD is located on external HD. Started creating a video in Pre and can preview files. I would like to tag files so I know which clips to play where so I switch to Organizer. When I start to preview I get a black screen. I click "play" and see the time start counting away but no image or sound. I copied new dll file but doesn't help. Brand new I7 machine. Any help? Love making videos. Hate video editing software. Used Pinnacle for years but thought it was buggy. Thought I'd try Adobe.
Assuming you use Premiere Elements' video Importer to get the video off the camcorder and into your computer, it could be because you're using a trial version of the program.
Some components can't be activated until the program has been registered.
After posting the question, I've done a little research reading a years worth of threads. Apparentlt, Adobe Organizer doesn't like .m2ts or .mts files. Solution is to organize files in Widows or another program like PMB and then use Premier to make video. Also understand that it's still very "buggy" to make HD movies. Better off staying with mpg.
