What're the capacities (maximum or suggested number of connections) of Cirrus and FMS4?
(based on general deployment - 3.2-GHz dual-core, 8-GB RAM, 1Gb Ethernet card)
Although P2P can minimize the traffic latency, the servers still need to monitor all peer connections.
Cirrus is a service hosted by Adobe. our intention is to have "enough" capacity to support its usage. we do this by having more capacity than its current usage, monitoring usage, and adding more capacity ahead (hopefully) of demand. that's why we ask developers such as yourself to let us know if you will have more than 10,000 concurrent connections to Cirrus.
it appears that you've asked a similar question in the FMS forum regarding FMS capacity.
Thanks for your suggestion.
So we won't need a flash media server for this. We can just connect to adobe's server to establish the finger prints and that's it?
I am VERY excited about this! This has HUGE ramifications!
Any idea on a release date?
