Ghosted-back image when resizing (InDesign CS5)

      Hi everyone,

I recently stated working with InDesign CS5 which I find brilliant, except for one bugging thing. Now when you resize an object containing text or image, this text or image continues to display what they call "ghost-back image" (the same handy toned down image that you can see when you move the content of the frame, for instance).

This would a very nice feature IF it was not incredibly slow. When I try to resize or crop an image, it feels like I'm working with a 10 year old computer. I'm actually currently working on Mac OS 10.6.5, Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 2.8 GHz which I would imagine to be sufficient to use any such simple function of InDesign.

This is very frustrating as I work with InDesing day in day out so I hope someone can tell me if there's a way to deactivate this somewhere. I've checked the prefs but could not find anything concerning this.

Thanks a lot in advance for your answers!!
