    "Behavior(al) problems?

    hideyhoneighbor

      Still pretty new at all of this.  Would appreciate ANY help anyone with more experience and expertise can provide.   Working in CS4.  I have a photo for which I want to provide "enlarge" capability for my website visitors.  I've created a separate HTML page for the photo... sized just the way I want it.  I'm trying to apply an "Open New Browser Window" behavior to both the photo itself and the "Click to Enlarge" text underneath the photo.  Applying the behavior to the photo works perfectly.... it comes up on screen just the way I want it.    BUT, when I try to apply the behavior to the text, the online result is...  a full screen version of the photo appearing on screen (even though I had sized it)  and a "sized" version (the photo version) underneath it.... both coming up on the screen at the same time.   I'm sure this is a simple problem but it eludes me.  Too much turkey, I guess!  Thanks so much for your help.  Sallee

              OK - change this -

              <img src="../../site_images/Photos/Mele Photos/koa_ukes/soprano.jpg" alt="soprano_uke" width="135" height="347" border="1" onclick="MM_openBrWindow('mele_products_large/koa_soprano_large.html' ,'koasoprano','scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=600,height=800')" />

              to this -

              <a href="#" onclick="MM_openBrWindow('mele_products_large/koa_soprano_large.html' ,'koasoprano','scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=600,height=800')"><img src="../../site_images/Photos/Mele Photos/koa_ukes/soprano.jpg" alt="soprano_uke" width="135" height="347" border="1" /></a>

              and this -

              <span class="date" onfocus="MM_openBrWindow('mele_products_large/koa_soprano_large.html' ,'soprano','scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=600,height=800')">Click

                        to Enlarge</span>

              to this -

              <a class="date" onclick="MM_openBrWindow('mele_products_large/koa_soprano_large.html' ,'soprano','scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=600,height=800')">Click to Enlarge</a>

              Something to learn from this -

              *  Never apply behaviors directly to any tag other than an "<a>" tag.  If one doesn't exist, you can select the element you want to trigger the behavior, apply the behavior, and then use the drop list on the EVENT column to select "A onclick" or "A onmouseover".  Or you can add one by entering "#" in the link field of the Property inspector after selecting the trigger on the page.

              Get it?

                That does it!   I see the problem.  I know just enough to be dangerous!  Thanks so much for taking so much time to assist me!
