I am have the same question as Kirk...
I can hear myself in the headphones when in MULTITRACK mode,
but in SINGLE track, I can't hear myself.
p.s. hey kirk, SOUNDBOOTH is GREAT for my voicework, but it doesn't use plug-ins...
that's why I'm so excited about AUDITION for mac!
I use Audition for digitalizing my record collection (+25.000).....
I posted 2 discussions here so far, both about Play through. None of them got an answer from Adobe personel. So I doubt now the value of this forum.
So far I've found out that when recording in multitrack it is possible to have play through, but in the "old" waveform it is not....
Now maybe this time the Adobe People can shine a light on this....
I posted this problem earlier and didn't get an answer so I sent a private email to Charles VW. He asked me to post it on the Forum and he would answer it. Hopefully he will answer soon.
I'm not getting play through with multi tracks either.

Kirk, thanks for posting this on the public forum as other people had the same question.
Is there currently the capability to play through when recording? I haven't been able to get it to work.
This functionality is only available in the Multitrack for the Mac Beta.
I certainly like Audition, seems to be a step up from TwistedWave and has more features that help move the project along, but being in voiceover I really like the play through. I tried the SoundBooth trial but don't like it even though the play through worked.
I'd be interested to see your (and others') comments on the Pros and Cons of the Audition Mac Beta vs TwistedWave, as well as the Audition Mac Beta vs Soundbooth. This would be best suited in a different thread of course. Keep the feedback coming.
Got the multi-track enabled now - just operator problem.
I'll start a new thread.
That is (finally) a good answer. So no play through in waveform in the beta. Can we presume that this will be implemented in the future release ?
