Mine will resize to the right side. Is the Datalist embedded within another component? I know there are some restrictions on how thing resize, this might be one. But that is an answer the FC team can field.
Thanks for your help.
Yes, my component is embedded within a Custom Component. In fact it is a Custom combobox, made up of a Toggle Button + a Data List.
And I want my custom component to be fluid widthwise.
I applied constraints on the Data List (left & right) and on the repeted item (left and right of the background) (and also on the Toggle Button).
I also created another simple datalist in a brand-new project, which was not within another component, and it doesn't work either.
Hum. You did enable resizing when you created the project? I think it is on by default. If you can post the FXP, I can take a look.
I'll let the engineering team correct me if I am wrong. The datalist is actually resizing, but the repeated item is not resizing based on the new size of it's parent. This is a known issue with nested items (which the repeated item elements of a datalist are).
Does that make any sense?
There might be a way to fix it from within Flash Builder, but I have not tried anything like that.
If we can't solve it from within Catalyst, is there a way to set it up into the MXML from within Burrito ?
A Spark List being not dynamically resizable, that's problematic :/
I'm working with Cécile on this project,
I agree with you on the fact that the list is resizing itself but not the repeatedItem (ie itemRenderer).
As you can see in the sample project posted all the items own constraints but the item don't resize with the list...
I tried to explain it and I discovered that the resize event was never received by the repeated item component.
- Is this normal?
- Is there planned improvements for the resizing of lists?
Thank you !
I know the constraint features are still being fleshed out by the team. I have not had a chance to take a look at the file from with Flash Builder and see if the issue is resolvable there. I know the team follows the forums, and maybe someone can chime who know the product better than I.
Ok, thank you Chris
