I am fairly new to this so please forgive any stupidity.
I have 3 versions of a movie
1.Top and bottom cropped
3.More picture Top and Bottom
I want to merge these together to create the full screen movie, now I understand I will need to use masks and feather the edges, what im struggling with is lining all 3 sources up so they are all on the same frame, I have tried dragging them but cant get them to align perfectly, is there a quick easy way?
Also if anybody could either write or point me in the direction of a full tutorial covering this I would be gratefull
There's no quick easy way. Just manually drag and scale the items until they are correctly positioned. Try reducing the opacity of the upper layer while aligning it - this will allow you to see the layer beneath.
It's unlikely there's a tutorial for this process, as it's not a common thing to do.
The Difference blending mode is your friend.
