    PowerPoint 2007 import problems

    supershapeshifter

Can anyone tell me what to look out for when importing powerpoint as slides?

Captivate acts like it is importing the slides then nothing shows up in the libary or the filmstrip on the left side of the screen.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

I found the problem, Captivate does not like grouped photos.

Export the group as an image and reimport if your are using grouping to say fade on multiple images.

If you have grouped images your are doomed!

            Hi Dana,

The issue is not because of the grouped objects. In the shared file the issue was happening because of a small scale image present on the PPT file. Removing the image imports the ppt file correctly. To resolve the issue,

            1.       Open the PPTX file.

            2.       Go to the seventh slide. Select the Group 3(With the header ‘Games and rich media applications). Ungroup it.

            3.       There are two small scale images (Flipped and shrunken) present behind the images ‘Sony’ and ‘Play stations’. Select and delete it.

            4.       Group back the rest all images, try to Import it in captivate.

Captivate Imports the pptx file correctly.

Hope this information helps to resolve the issue.

            Thanks,
