After installing Reader X , have you opened any PDF file or launched Reader X and accepted the agreement before previewing any PDF in mail message window of outlook 2010 ?
Is the problem still persist with Reader X or is it resolved?
The problem is persistent. I haven't tried anything else. I had accepted in the agreement dialog.
Another PC also with XP -but with Microsofts free antivirus, does not have the preview problem.
I am having the same issue with Adobe X. I have windows XP, SP3, 32bit. Using Outlook 07. Also using Symantic endpoint. I acknowledge the use of Adobe 10 and opened pdf files with it.
I get the same error as Steen. If I disable my Symantec, I get an error, "Can't locate the file". Version 9.4 was not a problem.
I have a boss that will not let me go back to 9.4 or download a different reader and a user who insists on the preview plane. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Well, just wanted to say that I have exactly the same problem, and sti
ll found no way of solving it. Here is my configuration.
- Windows 7 32-bit (JP)
- Outlook 2010 (JP)
- Adobe X reader (2010)
- McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.7.0i
Hope there is some kind of fix for this sooner or later, because it's quite anoying to have to open the documents outside Outlook.
Wish I could try on Microsoft's Antivirus as suggested by someone else, but my company has strict policies on Antivirus software and that's not an option.
