Can voice be used as a source of user input in Director/Shockwave? What I mean is whether it's possible do achieve someting as simple as a user speaking a command like "Go to the next screen" and having it achieve the same effect as clicking the "Next" button? Looking through the forums it seems Text-to-Speech is possible but not Speech-to-Something-or-Other. Is Flash a better application to achieve input through speech? Thanks in advance for clarifying that.
Voice-to-text is much more complicated than text to speech (text to speech is built into Director and which Flash can do with some work.) However, that being said, Director has the Xtra architecture to extend its' functionality. Here's a link that might help:
the Chant SpeechKit seems to be the only solution for Director - only for windows.
