I allowed Reader to update via my web browser, and recieved an install of MacAfee security scan as well. I hate Macafee and already have alternate protection.
I hate it when software installs aditional unwanted bloatware.
The problem in this case is that when I attempt to remove MacAfee, my system crashes, blue screen. I have tried a few different ways here, and always a crash, immediate or during boot up, always becuase of the adobe installer not finding MacAfee.
I have windows 7 Pro.

I am sorry you are having this difficulty. While it was possible to avoid the extra install of the software, it was not made as obvious as you or I would prefer. I suggest you let Adobe know your feeling about this directly. This is a User to User forum. The two places to contact are:
