# Rotation and motion tweening problem

I'm making a video using Macromedia Flash and I'm  having some difficulty. I'm rotating an object in a keyframe, then  trying to motion tween it rotating. I make the initial keyframe, convert  to symbol, create another keyframe later in the timeline, and rotate  the symbol in the second keyframe. Then I select between the two frames  and apply the tween.

It doesn't work. It doesn't rotate, but just jerks to its "ending" position on the final frame.

What am I doing wrong? How can I achieve the desired effect? Thank you in advance.

What do you mean when you say you are rotating an object in a keyframe?  The rest of the story is sketchy after that.  What is the desired effect?

I'm trying to rotate an object via motion tweening, basically.

I make the initial keyframe, convert  to symbol,  create another keyframe later in the timeline, and rotate  the symbol in  the second keyframe.

see that there should be distance betwen two key frames.

you are placing the symbol in first key frame and the ending positon in second key frame.you must give distance between the two key frames keep the ending positon in 15 frame or 20 th frame you can see your animation

My guess is either you are using new motion instead of classic tween (new motion you do not need the second keyframe - you can just rotate the last frame of the span and the keyframe is created for you), or if you are using classic tween maybe you have Rotation set to "None" in the Property inspector. Both could cause the result it sounds like you're seeing.

Where is this option? Can I have a step-by-step process on where to find it? I just started up Flash again after a few years so I am a little rusty.
