as i understand it, you can't do that. The only way is to create a 'native' android app (ie: java)
Can the background services be set up via java and communicate with the air app?
Reason I am asking is that I wanted to have an alarm on an application that can be set by the user so it starts the app. However, I am not ure what other process othert than using background service this can be accomplished with an air android app.
i am sure i read somewhere that there was a talk at max2010 that demonstrated just that, but i haven't been able to find any further mention of it
