Once a renderer has its data and the right parent (so it has the right
styles), and the right width (if it is flow-based), then it should report
its measurements correctly once it is validated, which you can force by
If given a spark List, do you know how to access its children ? And what about virtualization ? Will the height and width be reported correctly if the list is in a non-viewable state, such as on another tab which hasn't been viewed ?
On the DataGroup of the list, there is an array property "indexToRenderer". It is declared private but it is the basis of the numElements and getElementAt functions.
Unless of course this is a terrible terrible way to do it.
