I'm trying to have a spark list that uses a different spark VScrollBar rather than it's own. Basically the List is of one size and I need my scroll bar to be another so I can also add buttons to the area where the scroll bar would generally be. I know this is possible with using DataGroup instead of List because you can just set the VScrollBar viewport property as the DataGroup.
I cannot use DataGroup since I lose alot of functionality that List offers, so is there another way?
This sort of works, because I am able to add the buttons. But how do I hook them up, should I extend the List class and add my button logic there?
Actually, I have managed to get this working.
Creating a custom skin class and custom list class with ties to the buttons on the skin actually worked.
I havn't been working with the Flex 4 SDK much, but I was a very broad user of the Flex 3 SDK. It's a little weird to me that everything is now really custom and that I would have to create a so SkinClass just to accomplish some formatting or seperation of parts.
Thanks for the link though, I can post my code if you like.
