Hi Steve: Yes, I have been doing that since I read your advice back in 2007!
I just went back and doublechecked every photo size to make sure. Also, one
other clue that may help: I get the same error message when I simply try to
open Premiere on its own. Other thoughts? Thanks for your reply.

What operating system are you using? Is it the 32-bit or 64-bit version?
How fast is your processor? How much RAM do you have and how much free, freshly defragmented space is on your hard drive?
Hi Steve: Your questions were very helpful. I am now able to load Premiere
3!! In my travels over the last few days to see if I could fix the problem,
I also downloaded Premiere 9 but it would not let me access it. It now loads
properly too! I did a defragmentation and also ran the system program to
check for memory problems. The memory checker seemed to re-set my computer
back to the beginning and caused a few moments of panic but everything ok
now. So, thanks very much for taking the time to look at my query and
respond. Much appreciated!
Hi Steve: Ah, such short lived joy. For some reason, I am now back to exactly the same problem. Same error message; won't let me open Premiere 3 without error, trial Premiere 9 won't open at all and when I try to transfer slide show from PSE5, get the same error message. I will get back to you on the questions you asked.
