I used project manager in cs5 to trim and save media files on an external hard drive so I can work in a different location with cs5 installed. However, on opening the project in the new location, all the media files are unlinked. All the trimmed clips are on the hard drive, as well as the scratch disk is the same as the project. Relinking each media file is far too time consuming and confusing. I'm not sure if I incorrectly used project manager or theres a way to relink all the media files without doing one after the other?
If the folder structure of your files is the same as the original, you should be able to link one file in the topmost folder and they'll all automatically relink... Or, if that doesn't work (sometimes it hasn't for me) and all the clips are in the SAME folder, shift+click to select all your clips in your bin, right click and hit "link media." link the first clip, and all the others will follow (again, they must all be in the same folder for the shift+click option to work...
The shift link media worked perfectly, all media files are linked. However my imported audio files have no sound during playback? Any suggestions
Nevermind, I guess it took some time to reconnect. They're playing perfectly. Thanks tremedously
