Are you using the Spark DataGrid in Flex Hero, or the older MX DataGrid?
I am using old mx:datagrid ,
The concern is in need to change the color of the whole row( not cell )
based on certain value in particular cell .
Thanks Joan for the reply
But my problem is that i need to change the color of the whole row( not cell
) based on certain value in particular cell .
Like in the example link i need to color columns item and qty as red when my
qty is 4 .
I hope you understand my concern
If you use the itemRenderer in the example from my blog post in all of your columns (rather than in just one) and change the set data() function to use :
if(value[DataGridListData(listData).qty] < 10)
then, the entire row will have red text if the qty value is anything under 10.
Does that help?
Thanks for the update but the code is not compiling
and giving the following errors
1084: Syntax error: expecting rightbracket before qty.
Is there any way that we can change the color of the text of the whole row in the data grid based on the text of certain data in one of the columns
You can't do this with mx:DataGrid but mx:AdvancedDataGrid has this functionality implemented:
Peter, how would this procedure in Spark DataGrid?
