use a variable to store user selections. present the appropriate object based on that variable's value.
Ive had a look at a few tutorials as i dont know how to use variables very well at all!
The only bit im struggling with is how i get it to show the results as images instead of text???
May have to spend some more time looking at it and getting my head around it!
what results are you displaying?
the results will be images.
So for example is the user selects vase 1 - vase 1 is shown.
and then if the user that selects that they want it that vase blue = vase 1 in blue is shown
so there is 3 diffrent vases they can select and 4 diffrent colours.
Just been doing some test and i can only get the variable thing working with numbers, as i carnt figure out how to use it in respect of loading images. any ideas???
if they click a button that indicates they want to work with vase1, assign a variable:
then use that value to display vase1. i'm not sure how you're displaying vases now so i don't know how you should do this.
right ok, ill give it a try tomorow, ill let you know how it goes.
So i put that script on the 1st button that that they select?
Erm was planning on displaying the images along the timeline, so when you select one it scrolls across and finds the relevent image. dont know if that the correct way tho, but its the only way i know.
if you use the timeline to display images, label the frames with something suggestive. eg, vase1 for the frame displaying vase1.
then at some point when you're ready to display vase1:
