I have 3 drives: C: an SSD drve, B: a 2 x 2Tb Seagate Sata III (but running off Gigabyte moboard controller in Sata II) RAID 0 and D: 2 x 1Tb WD RAID 0 running off of the same onboard controller as the Seagates. The benchmarking results were significantly different between my two RAID 0s. Before I go replacing the two WDs with the high-benchmarking Seagates to get the same I/O speeds, any thoughts on why the disparity, including the wider than normal gap between read and write speeds on the WD RAID? I'd love to get similar results from both RAID arrays w/o putting in another $350 to lose the WDs and replace with Seagates. By the way, I included my C drive results for bragging rights! That Crucial 300 SSD is performing exactly to spec.
