    Please help!

    MarkV84 Level 1

      Hi,

I have set up a table on my home page in dreamweaver and added pictures inside with no problem at all.

Problem is when use that home page template again for a new page and I drop a picture into a cell it shifts my whole table a few pixels to the left. So when I preview my home page and click onto my new page the table is not in the same position. I have checked the cell size and picture size and all is fine. Its really annoying as I want the table on both pages to stay in the same position. I have centered the table so I cannot see why it has shifted, if anyone has any suggestions please help!

      Many thanks,

      Mark

          Two things.

          1. Please use a descriptive subject line.  Many people simply avoid reading posts with the subject "Please Help".  It is a given you are seeking help, so put something like "Images make table shift" or something that gives a hint of what your issue it.

          2. Include a link to the page.  It all becomes a guessing game if we can't see what you have in the way of code and result.

So, post a link and I'm sure help will be offered.

            Thanks,

            This is screenshot from before <a href="http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/Shakey_01/?action=view&current=Picture4-3.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/Shakey_01/Picture4-3.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

            This is one after inserting the image <a href="http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/Shakey_01/?action=view&current=Picture5.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/Shakey_01/Picture5.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

If you check the guides, you can see the table has shifted left in the second image.

            Thanks again

Screen shots only show us the problem, not the cause of the problem.  If we cant see the code, we can't help you. Please read the plea at the top of the discussions page.
