    Reader X quits with visual C++ error consistently - help!

      hello - I just updated my Reader to version X based on the adobe auto-updater tool and now I can't open any pdf's, and can't even

      open the Reader application - it quits with an application visual c++ runtime error consistently. here is the output from the application event log. I'm running Windows XP SP3 on a 3GB RAM machine with Pentium 4 HT processor.

      Any help on resolving this would be greatly appreciated - this never happened with 9.x, looks like I may end up having to search the web for an older version if I can get a resolution.
