Purchasing computer this week.
Have had huge processing issues forever and finally get an appropriately
built computer for the amount of After Effects I do.
What would be the number of cores and ram per core that will make this computer rock,
in your opinion?
I want to go PC. I use the Adobe products. But my mainstays are After Effects, ProAnimator, and Avid.
Going to 64-bit & CS5.
I want to make sure this computer we are purchasing has the power to finally keep up and not leave me "stillrendering"
Thanks for your help!
More processor cores = better
4GB of RAM installed per processor core is a good amount.
Keep in mind that with hyperthreading a physical core is seen and used as two processor cores (so a four-coure computer really has eight as far as After Effects is concerned).
Thank you for the answer.
