1. Re: New problem in Incopy CS4
Bob Levine Dec 15, 2010 6:02 PM (in response to Graham bu)I'd only be guessing but I would like to suggest that you give Dropbox a try for this.
Avoids the hassle of packaging and works great.

Graham bu Feb 16, 2011 6:59 PM (in response to Bob Levine)Thanks Bob,
That might be a workaround and I'll look at this.
However, it doesn't fix the inCopy issue. Nor could anyone at Adobe - while they try to be helpful most of them are typing the problem into the knowledgebase and reading the answers. And every time I had to explain the problem - every call was the first 20 minutes expalining to the call centre - and they say they are checking the notes. It is proabbly because it is a pretty narrow product but no-one in the support knew how inCopy works - very poor.

Bob Levine Feb 17, 2011 5:39 AM (in response to Graham bu)Sorry, but without actually examining the workflow that's all I have. I really do recommend that you look into the Dropbox solution. Anne-Marie touches on it in her fabulous InCopy CS5 (workflow is the same as CS4) course on Lynda.com. This link with give you a free one day trial to allow you to check it out: http://bit.ly/hTqUwj

Futureman9 May 25, 2011 6:58 PM (in response to Graham bu)Hi Graham,
I'm having the same problem with CS5.5. Are you using Microsoft Outlook to send emails? I have a feeling that's where the issue lies for me.

5. Re: New problem in Incopy CS4
Graham bu May 25, 2011 7:12 PM (in response to Futureman9)Hi,
We are using Outlook to send the messages. We use an externally hosted Excahnge Server. The strange thing is it worked fine for years then changed. No-one at Adobe can solve it.
Our solution was to use Dropbox. The designer has a large Dropbox and shares files with the Editor and Client. This works extremely well and in fact is much easier to use than emailing of packages.
Best
Graham
