Starter Edition 3.2 freezes at 'initializing model' and the Adobe tech folks think that my catalog may be corrupt. Used it fine one day, and the next day, the problem developed. Is there a way to fix/repair the catalog? Anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking of going to Element 9, but wonder how to import catalog from SE 3.2 if the program doesn't open! Thanks!
If you're on XP, try deleting your prefs file, and relaunching; it's located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Album\3.2
It's called psa.prf.
Mark, thank you very much! Unfortunately, because of my lack of knowledge with this software and the setup of the computer that I'm working on, when I follow your directions, I don't find a psa.prf file listed. I find an icon named PSA that says it's a pics rule file (size 2KB). Is this the same? Thanks again!
That sounds like it.
If you delete it, a new one will be automatically generated by the program when you launch it.
