If there is material that you can use to cover the tag, AE should be able to help you with the Clone Tool (similar to that in Photoshop).
One could go at it with Track Matte Keying and a little Effect>Motion>Position off-set, but AE would be better, IMHO.
Good luck, and hope that the shirt is not patterned...
That sounds about right, from what I have found online.
I feel like a bit of an ***, but can you guide me through this? I know how frustrating it can be answering questions for beginners, so let me know if it's too much.
First question: Do I have to import the camera's original footage into AE, or can I import pieces of my edited footage from PPro?
I started by importing the original .mts footage into AE, then dragged it into the Composition Panel, but could not find the Clone Tool.
I found the Clone Stamp Tool and I now know that I have to use it in the Layers Panel.....
This video from the _After Effects CS5: Learn By Video_ series shows how to combine motion tracking and the Clone Stamp tool to remove an object from a scene.
See this page for more on the Clone Stamp tool.
Thanks for that. A good tutorial is worth 1000 words!
To the OP,
Good luck, and I think that Todd has furnished you with a great link.
Thank you, Todd.
I'll have a look at it when I'm back home after the weekend.
