Hey forum people. I have a question regarding multiple renders with metadata. If you embed metadata on a video and that video is re exported/rendered by someone else, is the metadata still embedded? For example some of the videos we create will be posted on YouTube and other websites. I know that if you upload a video to YouTube, they end up transcoding it again. Just want to know if any information is being lost throught renders. Thanks.
Yes...and you can test for your self.
Export and then reopen it.
As shooternz says, the XMP metadata from a source file is preserved in the output file created from it, unless you have chosen to strip it out. With Adobe Media Encoder, you can selectively strip out ("thin") XMP metadata.
