hi all .. thx for your time ..
so, i'm very comfortable with graphic design applications and am trying to learn the video apps available through adobe ..
i just need some help getting started.
i have this sony handycam dcr-sr67 hdd .. its file format is mpeg2 which premiere pro says it handles .. but apparently not this kind of mpeg2 .. i figure get a converter and switch the mpeg2 to a quicktime .mov .. everything reads mov .. but no .. and there just so happens to be a hundred different file types to choose from .. so, what type do i convert to? ..
What error message do you get, when you attempt to Import the MPEG-2? That can tell us a lot.
Also, just to be sure that you are doing things correctly to that point, with an HDD camera, one first Copies the files from the camera, via USB to the internal HDD, and then Imports the MPEG file into a matching Project/Sequence.
PS - Welcome to the forum.
crap .. i was in cs4 premiere pro .. when i upgraded
i never changed my icon .. i went into cs5 and - no prob
sorry .. thx for the hasty reply though bill
Well, that is a "solution," that I might never have thought of. Glad that you sorted it out.
