    Adobe Reader Vs FoxIt Reader

I have been using adobe reader for many years.  Adobe installation file is now sized at 47Mb.  I was referred by my friend who told me of FoxIt Reader.  I am shocked that FoxIt Reader only has 4Mb whereas adobe has 47Mb.  Why does adobe reader needs to have 47Mb to read pdf whereas Foxit only require so little?

What stops me from using foxit reader is i love the cutie adobe reader icon when i click on a pdf file to read it.

Why why is it necessary to have 47Mb, it seems to be adobe's version of Windows Vista?
