I am using RoboHelp 8 and attempting to compile an HTML help file (.chm). I've done this 1000 times at least with no issues. Today however, I am receiving the following error when I attempt to do so:
Fatal navigational compilation error. This is likely the result of an invalid contents (.hhc) file.
We have two writers on our team and we share the source files in RoboSource. He is not getting an error and compiling without issue.
I searched the forums and found a very old post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/83446 where this issue was raised. I don't think this is the issue as the other writer can compile with the same files. I don't know if there is a way to check the entire proejct for a H1 tag that has centering in it or if this is even an issue anymore. I've got the most recent files a couple times from source and restarted my system a couple times. I'm at a loss.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
You can stop scratching your heads over this one. I ended up blowing away my local copy of the project entirely and
getting the entire project fresh and resolved my issue. No great insight as to what caused it. I guess
there was some corrupted file that wasn't cooperating on my local install that for some reason RoboSource wasn't updating.
Thanks for your consideration.
