Welcome to the forum.
In that existing Project, did you perhaps use Get Media from either a DVD, or maybe a mini-DVD (from such a camera)?
If so, that Project is Linked to that DVD/miniDVD, and it would need to be inserted in the same drive/burner, as when you did Get Media.
If that is the case, I would suggest that one Copy over such material to the system's HDD (Hard Disk Drive), and then Import (Get Media) from there.
Also, there is at least one similar error message on the forum. I will try to find that, as it might be helpful. In the meantime, do a Search for "harddisk2." Seems that that user was on a Mac, but I cannot recall the solution now. Are you also on a Mac?
Thank you for the fast answer!
I have the error everytime I start a new project or I try to open an old (empty project).
I'm trying to manipulate the preferences (eg. scratch disk).
I have not inserted any information about my pc:
It is a Dell Xps wit 2 Hdd 8Gb of memory and windows7 as OS.
OK, scratch my little theory.
Did you install from a download version, or from media?
If from media, let's try a test. Insert your Disk 2 from the media (contains the Functional Content, etc.), and try launching the program, and creating a New Project. What happens with that disk in the drive/burner?
Good luck, and hope that others have some useful thoughts,
I tryed your test with the media and.... it works! I can't understand why....
do you have any idea?
thank you for your help!

I am glad that it worked, and thank you for reporting.
Just a guess on my part would be that the program was still "looking for" that disc, in that drive.
I would hope that just having it inserted, and letting the program find it this once, will clear that location from "memory" and allow the program to not want to see it in the future.
At the moment, the program is working without the disk, so, thank you for your help!
And ...Happy New Year!
That is great news, and hope that it continues to perform for you.
Good luck, and thanks for reporting,
