Hi,

As per our requirement we need to have help tool which support login for multiple user and have separate project for them.

Also the same tool can be invoked for making help content from multiple location.

In our product multiple use who are located at different place can make their own help content, so is it possible that a single robohelp

software can be used at multiple location by multiple user.

Thanks,

Hitesh

Each author must have their own copy of RoboHelp but they can access a single project provided it is under source control.

Does that mean following

1) I should buy a single robohelp with multiple licence.

2) Different No of Licence of a single robohelp will work with multiple location for multiple author.

As per our requirement multiple user can create their own help project for their department

located at different place.

My Question is

1) Do i need to buy a single robohelp with multiple licence at it will be used at multiple location with different author

2) Where the all project will be saved as they all are retaed to our web project and also support version management.

I don't understand single RoboHelp with multiple licence. Unless you get into volume licencing, each copy of RoboHelp is for a single author. If you have multiple authors, it doesn't matter whether they are in one location or many locations, each one needs their own licence.

In your case the authors are in multiple locations working on the same project so they must all be able to access a common network location where they can access the project using source control. They will have a local copy of the project and when they want to work on a topic, they will check out that topic from source control, work on it locally and then check it back in. Multiple authors can work on the same project at the same time but not on the same topic.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for quick reply.

As per our requirement multiple authour will not work on one project but they will work on

different project from different location, but all this project will be like sub projects of one Master Project.

so will need to have one robohelp( one licence) or multiple for each authour.

Regards,

Hitesh

I think the answer is clear. Every author requires a licence. It doesn't matter if they are all working on one project or many projects, in one location or many locations. Every author requires a licence.
