Animated gif files

Hi I am new to using pwerpoint and adobe presenter 7 love it so far just am having one issue that I was hoping someone could assist me with. I have prepared a powerpoint (2003) presentation with animated GIF files attached, when I view on the slide show the animations work great. But when I try to publish them with Adobe Presenter 7 the images are not animated. I have audio in my presentation and did Sync the animations with my Audio but all I get is a still frame of the GIF file with no animation.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe you will need to convert the GIF to a SWF and insert it that way in order to preserve the animation.
