if you installed via the download 'trial' version
did you make sure you installed the 'trial' 5.0.3 update?
if you installed via retail dvd version,
did you install the 'dvd retail' 5.0.3 update?
it makes a difference on how you installed...
your fully working version got knocked back to the 'trail version'
posters say the only way to fix this is to unistall, run clean script, reinstall
then install the correct 5.0.3 update...
post back about what version you have and what update you installed...
One possibility is that after an update, your full-paid version (you do have the full-paid version, right?), has reverted to the trial.
- Deactivate PrPro, if possible, then Uninstall
- Run Adobe Clean Script CS5 several times, rebooting between each one
- Install PrPro, and immediately update, before launching
Hope that this helps, and good luck,
PS - this happened with some updates of CS4, and seems to have returned with a recent update.
Bill is absolutely correct that your current install is in trial mode.
Follow Bill's instructions, deactivate, Clean Script CS5 two or three times. reinstall activate and then update from Bridge. That prevents the problem of mixing up the two available downloads for electronically distributed products versus physically shipped products and which can cause this behaviour if one uses the wrong download version.
Thanks guys. That was it!

Great news, and glad that was the "simple" solution.
This began happening to some users in CS4, and appears to have surfaced in CS5. Not sure what the exact criteria are, for the Bug to bite, as it is only a small portion of users, who get bitten. Most update, and all works perfectly, and then, there are other situations. Adobe is aware of this potential problem, and I hope that they can find a way to update, so that no one ever gets the "revert to trial." As but a user, and casual observer, I have never seen any commonality in the instances, where the Bug does bite - gotta' be in there somewhere.
