    Help with Contact Form Error : /

    maria_B3

      Hi,

      I've put together a spry validation contact form on a site i'm building:

      www.mariasdesignportfolio.com/IC

      When i go to send the form this error pops up:

      can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied

      Not sure what it means or where i can fix the error, but if you have

      any suggestions on this, please let me know.

      Thanks! : )

          Hi,

          chdir is a php command to change the directory which it is then getting a permission denied. I'm not sure why you would want to change the directory to the /var directory. I would look over your code and see why you need to run the chdir command at all.

            I didn't reference this anywhere in my php script, so i'm not sure where it's coming from? : /

            But here's my php file/script:

            <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
            <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
            <head>
            <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
            <title>Process</title>

            <?php
            if(isset($_POST['submit'])) {

                $to = "ap2556@wayne.edu";
                $subject = "Submission Form Received";
                $name_field = $_POST ['name'];
                $lastname_field = $_POST ['lastname'];
                $email_field = $_POST ['email'];
                $message_field = $_POST ['message'];

                $body = "This message is from: $name_field\n Last Name: $lastname_field\n
                E-mail: $email_field\n Message: $message_field";

                echo "This is the confirmation page. Your message was successfully sent to $to!";
                mail($to, $subject, $body);
                }

                else
                {
                    echo "Oops! Sorry, please try again!";

                }
            ?>
            </head>

            <body>
            <p> </p>
            <p> </p>
            </body>
            </html>

              I see you posted the same question in the regular Dreamweaver forum and already got some responses, so it doesn´t make sense to continue a discussion here.
