Trouble moving site to new hard drive

I currently have a DW CS4 website residing on a hard drive running under Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger). I have installed a second hard drive in my computer, and installed 10.5 (Leopard) on it. I want to eventually work solely from the Leopard drive, but in the interest of not missing deadlines, I can't afford to drop everything and move over wholesale all at once, so I thought that moving files over gradually as I have time might be a good way of easing my way over.

I installed DW (still CS4; don't have CS5 yet) onto the new drive, and tried accessing my website on the old drive. It opens just fine, and I can work on already-created pages, but when I go to create a new file based on my usual template, it says that no site is defined, therefore no templates are available (other than the ones that come with DW). Hmm. So I tried copying the website folder over to the new drive, and accessing that version. Still no custom template available.

I tried going under Site->Manage Sites->Import to bring in the site that way, but nothing happened. Now I think I may need to clear out the preferences of the newer install of DW so that it isn't trying to look for the files I've been trying to tinker with so far; I think it's getting confused. I know I am.

Any suggestions as to what I should try next? Where does DW store its info on those templates? Maybe I could copy that over.
