I posted this in other forum, but I think this is the right forum
Can you please tell me What do you think about this laptop (for design: Photoshop, Illustrator, CS4,..)
NOTEBOOK SONY VAIO VPCEE33 AMD ATHLON X2 DUAL CORE 2.2
2GB DDR3 upgradable to 8GB
320GB HD hard disk
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
OS Windows 7 Home
It is effective for design, Photoshop CS4, Illustrator?, is it a good trust worthy laptop?
This is the website:
In comparison to other machines in the PPBM5 Benchmark you can't get any slower than this.
It would be an utter disaster for video editing, but for very light design work with PS, IL and the like, it may be somewhat suitable if you come from a 80386 and always have weeks to spend and are never pressed for results.
Thank you for your reply, you say that the sony VAIO it is to slow for design work with PS, Ai,...CS4? I don`t do video editing, just illustrations, simple webdesigns, logos, print, etc...maybe if I upgrade from 2GB to 4GB ?
Athlon X2 is very slow. An i7 is much better, even an i5 would be OK for design work, because they are quad cores and AMD is severely hampered by the lack of SSE4.1+ support.
