There is no need to double click. Just click once. Typically pressing the Command key will select discontiguous objects in a layer. Perhaps the layer is locked?
If you are selecting objects on the CANVAS, single click again should work unless the layer is locked. Pressing SHIFT and clicking on multiple objects on the canvas will select them.
Also make sure that single layer editing is not enabled in the Layer options.
however, it ain't happening. when i roll over an object (of any kind) it keylines with a red box and if selected, the keyline frame turns blue.
when the selected object is blue, i can hover my cursor on top of the new object, see it key in red (roll over) but when i click it does not select
the new object!@#$% one click, two clicks, it doesn't matter. i also checked that single layer editing was not selected. i've included a pic for you to see.
my cursor is on "ideas" but it won't select unless i choose it in the layers panel or marque(ing) it. any other suggestions?
