When starting Premiere Pro CS5, the splash screen appears and then goes to a white screen with the hour glass running. It never comes up and I have to shut it down manually. All other CS5 products work just fine. I have tried re-installing, but to no avail. The suite is running on an HP Z800 workstation with Windows 7 64-bit.
Reset Preferences = Press/HOLD Ctrl+Alt+Shift while starting program will sometimes clear odd problems
My friend had a very similar problem, he uninstalled then reinstalled it, made sure he had lots of space on his hard drive and it seemed to work fine after that.
I found the problem. I had a corrupted user profile.
Added a new user and copied some files over to the new user and
we are good to go. Thank you all for your help and suggestions.
