Looks like it does some pixel motion estimation and screws up on tweaking framerates. I'm sure there is some clever info on this in the boris help docs... and yes, turning off AE's OpenGL might help...
Hi Todd and Mylenium,
OpenGL and Render Multiple are both off, which is how I usually keep them.
And yes, AE version 10.0.1 and AME upgraded as well.
It is intermittant, and I was able to put the effect on two pieces of footage yesterday and render out what I needed. But, in between there were several crashes, once on the first keyframe, some midway, and one right on the last. And as I menrtioned I am getting varying error messages?
I will check the Boris forums next, as well as check the GPU end (two cards: Nvidia GeForce GT430 and GTX 470) There is also the mv video hook driver2 that I believe is used by VLC. Maybe something in there is not getting along?
My cards are, Quadro (as a 2nd) Nvidia 550Ti as primary.
BCC 7.05 kept crashing AE CS5.5.
Opening window of BCC states it detected Quadro, not better 550Ti.
I suggest you go to Nvidia control panel, select card in PhysX
also I set OpenGL to 550Ti.
All is GREAT now,
