I wish to capture footage from HI8 tapes using an old Canon UC10 camera. In the past I have used Pinnacle blueBOX however my current computer does not have the necessary 26 pin female connector. Is it possible to convert the 26 pin male lead from the blueBOX to USB and then capture?
Old technology I know but it was reliable and probably still is if only I could connect the blueBox to my PC.
If this is not possible what would you recommend?
Welcome to the forum.
As PrE does not Capture over USB, but only FW-400, I do not believe that any converter will allow you to do a Capture. Maybe others will have a workaround for you though.
Now, exactly what is the connector type on the Pinnacle BlueBox? At 26-pin, it almost sounds like SCSI, but I'd find that improbable. Just curious.
