Ideal Set Up for RAID Array

    cfsKC Level 1

Since having a new video workstation built this last fall I have employed the following five hard drive setup:

      C:/ OS & Programs

      D:/ Sound & Video Media & CS5Projects

      E:/ Pagefile & Media Cache

      F:/ Previews & Exports

H:/ Other media files (Photoshop, et al)

This week I take delivery of an Areca ARC-1880ix-16 controller. With it, I will set up an eight disk RAID3 array with a hot swap.

I am inclined to simply set up a single folder for each video project which will contain all of the files previously stored on disks D, E & F. Before doing so, however, I would like to solicit comments or suggestions from others using RAID arrays.
