Is there any way to set up Audition so that when you've selected "save selection as" then you can just start typing in the new name immediately rather than having to select the old filename first? It sounds really simple, but when you have thousands of small filenames to cut out and edit, this ends up eating up a bunch of time.
This bugs me too. Seems like it would be a simple improvement.
In Save-As dialogs, the MacOS highlights all but the extension. Adobe puts the cursor before the extension. A small incongruity that makes you stop and think, plus it adds another step to a simple action.
Thanks for the feedback and makes perfect sense, we'll have a look at it.
Looks like this was a bug, thanks for pointing it out (occurring in both "save as" and "save selection as"). The fix will now properly highlight the suggested name when you do a "save as" or "save selection as" allowing you to immediately over type the suggested name or you may simply hit enter to accept the suggested name and settings.
