Hi a new to Premiere Elements and have taught myself the basics of v3 to get my students started. Now my school has upgraded to 9 and I can't find a way to 'crop' an image. I used to expand the image by selecting the handles on the outside and growing the image so that only the main bits were left in the frame. Then I would recentre the image so it appeared better composed. Unfortunately, I can't use this method in in 9 because I lwould ose the preset widescreen and end up with some clips widescreen and some full screen clips. I would welcome any advice or other methods to try. Hope you can help.
Welcome to the forum.
If I understand what you wish to do, look to the fixed (they appear automatically with each Video Clip) Effect>Motion>Scale and then Motion>Position. These are available in the Effects Control Panel, from Effects>Edit Effects, with the Clip Selected.
