Acrobat 9.4 install settings for base Image.

We are creating an image that we can use to clone 500 systems.  The OS is Windows 7 64 bit and we have Acrobat Reader 9.4 installed, we would like to set the Save As and Save Text default file locations.  Looks like the default location for Save Text is C:\windows\system32.  How can the default save as location be set on our image so when the user gets the new system and does a Save Text function they are not going to "by mistake" save the file where they can't find it.

There has to be a registry setting that remembers the last save location we can tweak, no?  It's easy for most of us to simply change the location but end users are not always capable of changing locations or figuring out where they saved a file.  If we can set the default save location we can alleviate potential calls to the helpdesk or missing "BILLABLE" work.

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

          Hi Ed,

Whenever I have this type of question, I use Regshot to take a before and after shot of the registry after exercising the feature. I could be wrong, but it looks like to me that the save as location is handled by Windows. This is the key that changed for me:

          hth.

If you find out I'm incorrect, please post so here.

          thanks,

          Ben

Yes we use reg shot also and I noticed that Key but that is a user specific Key for and that key is only for user A, user B would have a different Key and so on.  But if I can build a Current user key to match it might work.

            Thanks for the response anyway.
