      Can anybody explain why so many elements that were displaying fine in CS4 now dissapear in CS5. For example h tags and Spry accordions?

          Hard to comment without seeing your code. CS5 displays fine for me.

            CS5 is much more insistent that your code be valid than even CS4 was.  Invalid code can easily make things disappear from design view, and in a somewhat unexpected and potentially puzzling way.  Does your code validate?

              Hi Murray

              http://www.stanthonys.org.uk/Consultants_by_speciality/audiology.html

              This is a typical page which I have just checked and validates both html and CSS

                Good work.  What do you see disappearing in design view in CS5?

                  Hi Murray

                  These are the elements that do not display in Design view but will in Live View.

                  On the main accordion menu it's the h5 Tags:

                  <div class="AccordionPanel">

                            <div class="AccordionPanelTab style1">

                              <h5>INDEX (close tabs)</h5>

                            </div>

                  The h5 and h2 Tags within:

                  <div id="mainContent">

                      <div id="Audiology">

                  <h5>Consultants by speciality</h5>

                        <h2>Audiology</h2>

                  The strong Tag in Accordion2

                  <div id="Accordion2" class="Accordion">

                            <div class="AccordionPanel">

                              <div class="AccordionPanelTab">

                              <strong>Click consultants tab for clinic details/profile</strong></div>

                  It seems that the h Tags and strong Tag are a problem is this correct?

                    Not as far as I can tell - I can see all of those elements in CS5 Design view.  I might note that your <h5> tag in the main accordion menu is being masked by the absolutely positioned div you have placed above that location, but all of those elements seem visible to me....

                    Am I looking in the right place?

                      I appear to have solved my own problem and that of browserlabs and widgetbrowser.

                      I used Font Book to run through all my fonts, moved to the trash any problem fonts. This didn't make any difference in fact on froze dreamweaver.

                      BUT when I reimported the fonts ALL worked as it should, very strange, but hey, this is the wonderful world of computers.

                      Thanks for all your helpful comments.
