      hi everyone! i need some help. this is the first website i have ever created and it seems like a few issues are coming up.

      Picture 1.jpg

      as you can see above, there is a grey box around the image. why is this happening and how can i fix it?

      and why does the text box fit within the white box in some browsers, but not others? how do i address that?

      check out the site at www.ourbackyardwedding.com

      any other tips?

      thank you in advance for all of your help and guidance.

          Use the below css to remove the grey border around your linked image.

          a img {
          border: none;

          As for the text fitting in the box I'm afraid not all browsers show the text at the same size so therefore you will evoke a vertical scroll bar in some once the text gets deeper than the depth you have set the scrolling box to. You can't control that effectively.

          Personally I'd scrap the scrolling box and let the <div> open up to fit around the text. Scollbars look a bit ugly.

          If you want scrollbars then you can check out other options to produce them such as jquery which are neater and can be manipulated to suit the design more.
