Can we perform a check for Indesign that Proper Nouns should not be hyphenated.
How do you identify a Proper Noun?
I think We can Identify that a Proper noun will always have first character capital, and It can be in any language.
You can switch off "Hyphenate Capitalised Words" as part of the standard Paragraph hyphenation settings.
If for some reason you don't want to use that, you can search for words starting with a capital and apply No Break to them. Using GREP, search for this
and apply No Break in the Change To formatting; or, if you don't want to add formatting codes, insert a discretionary hyphen before the found expression with this in the Replace With field:
It's possible to do all of this by scripting, but it's just one search-and-replace per document; and search-and-replace operations can be stored the usual way.
