We have a flex builder 3 professional license.  We would like to switch to the 3.5 flex SDK to use features added in 3.4.  The flex builder we have only comes with 3.2.

Is it possible to update to 3.5 flex sdk using Flex builder 3?

Datavisualization (AdvancedDataGrid and charts) and automation libraries for SDK 3.5 can be downloaded from

Thanks for your reply.

The problem with the solution above is that it doesn't include the Flex builder professional classes such as advanced data grid.

Currently, it is my belief that this cannot be done.  I did find a 'flash builder 3 updater'.  When I tried to apply it, the message was that my version was already up to date.  It therefore seems there were no versions past the 3.2 sdk.

I would be happy if anyone could prove me wrong on this, but right now I am not hopeful.

I was trying to work around the 'https (i.e. secure) not working in firefox with FileReference' (http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-201) by using the load() function added in 3.4.  Looks like I need one of the older work-arounds for now.

Is there a flash builder 4 solution to this issue (the link above)?  If so I could use it as ammo to try to get my company to try the upgrade to version 4.

FileReference is flash.net.FileReference;

Could I copy the Flex Builder 3 Plug-in\sdks\3.5.0\runtimes\player over Flex Builder 3 Plug-in\sdks\3.2.0\runtimes\player?  Or upgrade my 3.2 sdk to flash player 10 some other way?

Thanks,

That is what I needed.  I can now compile with 3.5.
